In the 3rd January week the topic of the ARD morning magazine (German channel) was Zermatt. On one morning they broadcasted live from the hotel Monte Rosa.

Enjoy an interesting hotel daily routine with our season staff and our guests. They interviewed Linda our chef de rang, Melanie our second Chef de Service as well as Mr Ganses from Belgium, a regular guest since many years.

The preparation started already one month before and on the shooting day the film crew was already at 4 am at the hotel.
For the perfect lights they put the spotlights and the lights stopper on the right place and they went through the different steps. Also we had to prepare different requisites like a breakfast trolley for the film crew.

We recommended our hotel guests to close the curtains very good because the house would be illuminated by big spotlights at 5 am.
As most of our guests did not like to get up so early in their holidays our staff went to supernumerary and people from Zermatt became guests.

At 6.45 am the cameramen said “action” and Linda was the first person for an interview. But why don’t you watch yourself how it was?
