Tradition

The hotel located at the village center of Zermatt was constructed in 1852 by state councilor Josef Anton Clemenz and comprised 14 beds – and only 15 years later was acquired by Alexander Seiler.

1902 the Villa Margherita with 50 beds opened and in the years to follow the number of beds steadily rose to 350.

Investments in the infrastructure and refurbishing also took place over the years – ending with the construction of a sixth floor and accommodation for the team of staff.

Furthermore, 15 December 2007 saw the inauguration of the “Le Petit Cervin“ and the unique hotel in a hotel concept.
